I really like this armband, it works great and the price was awesome, but it sure is ugly!! I’m ordering one from ifrogz that is much more expensive, but is MUCH, MUCH more stylish! I’ll use this one as a back-up.

I purchased this product with running in mind. The armband is lightweight and machine washable (I haven’t washed it yet after 2 weeks of use). The Nano 3g fits snug in the pouch which has a clear protective shield to keep the elements out (very handy when you live in Seattle!). The back has a slit on top where you insert the iPod which pretty much closes up the opening after inserting the iPod. Although it couldn’t be considered ‘airtight’ I haven’t had any problems with seepage from rain getting in (again, this comes with authority from a Seattlite).

The headphone cord attachment is a nice addition! It can be clipped to the armband itself or detached and clipped to a waistband, belt, etc. Basically, you wrap the cord around the clip and then a flexible “skin” covers it to keep it from coming unravelled. There are slots on each end of the “skin” that the excess cord from the headphones and jack come out of. The photo I saw was a little deceiving, though, as it appeared there was a red ‘hazard light’ on the clip which would have been great for the times I run at night. Alas there is no light (however, I would recommend Belkin add this feature!) and the mistake was more on my part as the product did not advertise any such feature.

I was happy with the product with one exception (enough for me to drop it from a 5 star rating to a 4): adjusting the armband is a little tricky. The “excess” armband after you adjust to your arm size slips through a slot in the armband and winds around your arm. A clasp at the end of the armband needs to be fit into one of the slots on the side of the armband to hold it in place and can be difficult to do using only one hand.

Overall, though, would recommend this armband for running or other workout activities.

The armband was relatively cheap and easy to order over the internet. The tradeoff is this product is not as easy to use as the equivalent velcroe armband. If you are willing to fool with this a bit more it is more than worth the price savings.

Great idea, but the durability of the band is horrible! I thought I would get at least a month out of it, but the metal piece broke that holds the band, so it is no longer of use.. :-( I have purchased two of these so I am a little worried about the second one.
